DUARTE CELEBRATES ROUTE 66 WITH 18TH ANNUAL PARADE!

staging1WE WERE HONORED TO BE THE COMMUNITY GRAND MARSHALS FOR THE 18TH ANNUAL PARADE!  IN THE STAGING AREA WE WERE ASSIGNED TO RIDE IN A 1965 MUSTANG OWNED BY DAVID ENRIQUEZ!  OUR GRANDDAUGHTER, HAILEY NOEL MCVEY, JOINED US.

VIP1.presentationBefore the parade began, a VIP breakfast was held at the Ranchero Mexican Restaurant, thanks to Sandy Majia. Above, Alan and I are surrounded by the City Council.  Mayor Margaret Finlay presented us with a key to the City.  We were warned it doesn’t open anything! (L-R) Phil Reyes, Liz Reilly, John Fasana, Mayor Finlay, Alan and I, and Tzeitle Paras.
