How 'bout that Wes Roemer?

| |

Former Glendora High School pitcher Wes Roemer, who was an All-American at Cal State Fullerton, appears to be on the fast track to the Majors.

Roemer, selected 50th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks in Major League Baseball's First-Year Draft last June, was a non-roster invitee to the D'backs Major League camp. He's made two appearances, giving up four hits and two runs, while striking out two in three innings. He pitched briefly for the Yakima Bears last season, going 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA and striking out 18 in 12 innings.
