Angels strengthen tie in Rancho Cucamonga

Another two years was added to the player development contract between the Angels and the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, meaning that rehabbing Angels will be spending time in the Inland Empire through the 2010 season. The Quakes have been an Angels affiliate since 2001 and a number of current Angels have played in Rancho Cucamonga, including Jeff Mathis, Mike Napoli, Reggie Willits, Francisco Rodriguez, Joe Saunders and Howie Kendrick, among others.
