Angels dump Rangers 6-4

The Angels received plenty of production from the DH spot as Vladimir Guerrero and Juan Rivera supplied the offense in a 6-4 Cactus League victory over the Texas Rangers. Rivera, who suddenly finds himself as the fifth outfielder, had a key two-run single to spark the victory. Kendry Morales added a mammoth home run. Ervin Santana started but gave up a disappointing four runs in four innings and has an 8.31 ERA this spring. With three weeks left in spring training, the Angels reassigned 12 players to minor-league camp.

I keep reading how Juan Rivera is improving his trade value this spring. But Juan said he has no problem being a bench player for the Angels. He loves playing for them. No pressure from Arte or the fans or even the media. So keep him. How many teams have a pinch hitter like Juan Rivera? And you never know. With injuries the Angels could end up needing him.
