It's official: Kendrick to DL
The Angels announced after Friday's game that Howie Kendrick will head to the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Monday with a strained left hamstring and that infielder Sean Rodriguez will be recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake. It will be Rodriguez's first stint on the big-league roster.

With no Howie in the lineup and Torii given the day off the Angel offense is horrible. Hurry back Howie and Torii, tell Scioscia you won't take anymore days off. I'm really tired of the horrible hitting of Gary, Vlad and Garret. Wake up your bats already. You guys all make way too much money to be this horrible. You're making Miguel Batista look like Cy Young and that he isn't.
Also, get Moseley out of the starting rotation. It's Adenhart Time.
I have a question. The Angels took Chris Bootcheck off the DL Saturday. They sent Alex Serrano back to AAA. Why? I saw him pitch and he was good. Jason Bulger is wasting a spot in the bullpen. Shouldn't Bulger be the one who was sent down? He hasn't pitched an inning yet where he hasn't given up at least a run. Serrano was impressive. This is as wacky as leaving Dustin Moseley in the starting rotation while he stinks instead of giving Nick Adenhart his chance. Sure Adenhart might struggle too but if we have to lose the game I'd rather watch Nick than Dustin pitching. Get him some early experience. Then when he goes back to AAA he'll know what to work on. We'll probably lose most of these starts anyway. Moseley would actually help the bullpen too. He's a good middle reliever. Well, maybe not anymore. These beatdowns he keeps having could hurt his head.
