Speier tries to lighten mood

Justin Speier isn’t on the roster for the ALDS, so he took it upon himself to lighten the mood in the clubhouse Thursday a day after the Game 1 defeat to the Red Sox.
Dressed in a wet suit and wearing flippers on his feet, Speier burst into the clubhouse shouting, “Is there practice today? Is there practice today?” To make the scene complete, Speier was carrying a Boogie Board and wet down his hair and face.
The scene drew big laughs, especially when Speier twice nearly stumbled while trying to walk with the flippers.

Angels fans cheer Dodgers

It happened just before Wednesday’s game when the Red Sox were taking batting practice. The Dodgers game was playing on the large video boards and Manny Ramirez hit a home run. The cheer was really in jest toward Ramirez’s former teammates, which goes to show that an Angel fan can cheer on the Dodgers if it’s for the right reasons. As for the moment the Dodgers victory was posted on the out-of-town scoreboard, nobody really seemed to care.
