Angels minor league outfielder Brandon Bayardi suspended 50 games.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that outfielder Brandon Bayardi, the Angels’ 36th-round draft pick out of UNLV in 2012, has been suspended 50 games without pay for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Bayardi, who is on the roster of the rookie-level Orem Owls of the Pioneer League, tested positive for Methylhexaneamine. The 22-year-old was hitting .252/.310/.394 with five home runs in 37 games for Orem.
