By now, you probably know that the Angels re-signed Mike Trout for the 2013 season for $510,000.
That’s $20,000 above the major-league minimum and about one-40th of what Vernon Wells will make this season. Trout is taking the high road and won’t complain. After all, he doesn’t have much to complain about when the Collective Bargaining Agreement (which Trout’s union agreed to) allows teams to renew the contracts of players with 0-3 years’ service time at whatever salary they see fit.
