On Wednesday, Los Angeles International Airport opened a major piece of its new almost $2 billion international terminal. My colleague, talented Los Angeles News Group photographer Brad Graverson, put together a 28-image gallery from the opening day.

I recommend checking it out, if only to see the awkward hug shared between current Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and former mayor Antonio Villaraiogsa. It’s image six.
