LAX crime jumped 10 percent in 2013. Should you be concerned? Probably not.

Crime at Los Angeles International Airport jumped 10 percent in 2013, while arrests rose 17 percent, according to statistics released Monday.

I’ll have a full story for our print edition, but it’s important to remember that the number of overall crimes at LAX is extremely low. Jump or not, there isn’t much need to worry about violence at LAX.
