LAX: Police searching for disgruntled ex-employee who once worked at airport

Los Angeles Airport police were searching Tuesday night for a disgruntled ex-airport employee who had worked at Los Angeles International Airport, officials said.

They had set up a command post in an employee parking lot near the airport’s central administration building, airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles said.

Los Angeles World Airports Sgt. Belinda NettlesĀ said airport police had a picture of the person they were searching for. She said she could not say for whom the person worked, other than to say the subject of the search was not a city of Los Angeles employee.

“”They want him off property,” Nettles said in a brief interview. “He’s disgruntled.”

Nettles referred further questions to the Los Angeles office of the FBI. Officials there could not immediately be reached for comment late Tuesday night.
