About Julia Scott
If you're like me, investing your 401k is a total chore. But saving a buck in daily life is soooo satisfying. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time to look for sales and find the best deals. That's where the Bargain Hunter comes in. I'll blog about the Valley's best deals on clothes, food, electronics, and other everyday items. Now you can save a buck, without spending your time!
Just so you know, no manufacturers give me or the Daily News money for Bargain Hunter blog posts or the logos I use. Blog content is prompted by what I think is interesting, and what I hope you will find interesting too!
You can subscribe to the Bargain Hunter but you need to have an RSS feed reader on your computer. Don't ask me what a feed reader is, just ask me where you can get one. At https://www.google.com/reader. Good luck, and let me know if you have any problems subscribing.

I love your site! I think this is such a great idea.
I'm definitely going to check out the shrimp place in Woodland Hills. And I think I'm going to be addicted to the smart shopper site. I mean, they have a Betsy Johnson dress cut from nearly $400 down to just under $80!!!
And as a huge book lover, I can attest that the Borders card is a really good deal.
Thanks for all your great tips.

Do you have an email subscription list? I clicked on the RSS feed but

Julia,
I love your site; we'll be in L.A. first week of November Would love to chat with you about your love of food and vast knowledge of L.A.'s cheap eats. Perhaps there's a business opportunity in your future (I own and operate Hawaii Food Tours and plan on expanding my guided restaurant tour concept to L.A.).
Will stand by for your reply...
