The folks at FreeCycle may sound a tad odd, but you can't beat their prices. Free! Free! Free!

It's basically a group of folks who give and receive stuff, without any dollars changing hands, through a Yahoo! group. It started in May 2003 and there are 4,041 FreeCycle groups across the globe. You can post an item you'd like to find a new home for, or message the group about something you are looking for.

Here's an animated short about FreeCyclers.

Their mission is to "build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community."
