$1 from Vegas to LA

The British company Megabus is launching bus service in Los Angeles Wednesday and to promote it they are selling a limited number of $1 fares between LA (Union Station), Vegas, Oakland, San Jose, Phoenix, San Francisco, and San Jose. There are 2 to 4 of the $1 fares on each ride, so they sell out quickly. It took me a few tries to find a $1 fare, and your chances rise the farther out you search.

Their regular fares are $8 and $15. Vegas, baby, here I come!

UPDATE: The $1 fares won't disappear in some sketchy bus terminal once word gets out, according to Megabus PR lady Liz Brower. It's part of the company's MO.
