Corner Bakery: Slim Pickins

TortillaSoup.jpg (not my actual lunch)

Didn't have a lot of time so I ate lunch at the Woodland Hills Corner Bakery today but was *really* disappointed that the $5 Lincoln Lunch options were slim pickins. I had only two menu options aside from the side salads (I'm not a rabbit, folks!) and breakfast menu (ahem, it's called a lincoln LUNCH): Big Al's Chili or Soup of the Day. Took my chances with the tortilla soup in a bread bowl for $4.59 (with tax $4.97) and mooched a free cup of icy water.

Soup was very hot and tasty, with crispy tortilla strips on the top. Only problem is after 10 bites it was gone! They barely carved out any hole in the bread bowl, so I was left with a massive hunk of bread. Had to rip it off with my hands because the server only brought out a spoon. All the sandwiches and panini prices started with a 6, so I don't think I'll be returning to Corner Bakery anytime soon.
