Lincoln Lunch: Mexican

Taqueria el Tapatio, a tiny counter-only eatery off Sherman Way across from the post office in Canoga Park, has great Mexican at uber low prices. Lunch for two - with drinks - for $10.18? Believe it.

I had a beef tostada that was crunchy and was topped with two tomatoes, sour cream, and a spicy red sauce. Yum. Price: $3.03. A friend had the pork torta, a sandwich so big she couldn't finish it, for $4.11. Soda $.85, lemonade $1.40. With tip it was $12.

Other cheap eats options: Tacos $1.30 each, burito $4.19, corn quesadilla $1.09, flour quesadilla $2.40, eggs with meat OR pork sausage $5.
