AAA discounts
Had to drop off some paperwork at the local AAA office and I picked up a brochure touting all their member benefits. I usually make up the fee with a single hotel reservation, but there are many other ways to "get" your money back. A few of their better discounts:
20% off at regular priced pairs at Shoes.com, 12% off sales
Free VIP discount book at Camarillo Outlets
10% off Circuit City merchandise
15% off JoAnn.com
10-30% off at Lenscrafters
$5 off tickets in the Terrance or Terrance main to see the Anaheim Ducks
$4 off upper view or terrance box wheelchair tickets to see the Angels
20% off adult admission to Knotts Berry Farm in Buena park plus 10% on merchandise
50% of certain LA clippers games
20% of LACMA adult admission and membership!
$4 off tickets to six flags magic mountain in Valencia, $12 off Wednesdays
20% off reserved tix to UCLA home football games at the rose bowl, except game against Notre Dame
10% off your El Torrito, Wetzel's Pretzels, Payless ShoeSource, Target.com
20% off at Haagen Dazs, Samsonite Company stores
10% off fine jewelry at Blue Nile, except pre-set engagement rings
Free tickets to Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune
Membership starts at $20, a discounted first-year rate. After that it's $47, plus a few more bucks for a second person in the household.

Comments
AAA is a great deal and TOTALLY worth the money for membership. I for one am going on a vacation in a few months and will be joining to take advantage of hotel discounts.
However, the price you're quoting for first year is incorrect. According to the site, the $20 fee is a one-time first year setup fee, that is in addition to the $47 yearly membership. The first year is $67, not $20.
