Bargain Hunter strikes out

I had my holiday hit list all planned out for Sunday. First, I'd check out It's a Wrap on Robertson near Pico, then onto Harpers Apparel in Culver City for discount clothes, followed by Eclectic Avenue for their low-price modern furniture. But my shopping partner copped out on me, claiming her cat bit her *through* her fingernail. Still haven't seen the bite, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt...for a few more hours.

Instead, I took the hubby to Macys for his tri-annual (that's once every 3 years) shopping trip. Two hours later - after countless trips between the dressing room and the floor and armloads of rejects - he found five button down sleeveless shirts, three pairs of shorts, and underwear. It rang up to $221, but with all the discounts we saved $208. Not too shabby.

As for me, I got a sheer lip shine in rouge satinee from the Body Shop that feels like a cross between a lipstick and chapstick: not too thick, not too waxy. It was $12.50 but with a 20% makeup sale, it somehow ended up being $10.
