Neiman Marcus turns 100
I found the clothing prices in their Sunday New York Times insert so ridiculous that I had to mention it. Jewelry and handbags were even more ridiculous. Who spends $26,500 on a purse? I don't care that it's made of the skin from a gator. Or earrings for $283,000? (That's $54,000 more than the median price of a home in the US, in case you were wondering.) Even the shopping bags are $30. Do the people who shop here take themselves seriously? I'd really like to know.
