A friendly reader emailed me with this fun idea: sharing reader success stories using discounts found on the Bargain Hunter blog. Conveniently for me, she provided the first one! She writes..."I was just thinking how excited I am that I used your 30% off Footlocker.com coupon to get a pair of my favorite running shoes (already sale priced at $70 so got them for $49). Just in time cuz my old pair is worn out. The shoes arrived with a coupon for 20% off a $100 order from Eastbay.com. Eastbay had my favorite running shoes on sale for $49.99 and I bought 2 pairs and saved 20%. Even with the expensive shipping, the shoes came out to $45 per pair! Thus, I got 3 pairs of my favorite running shoes (which are being discontinued; so,
I'm happy to stock up) for $140--not bad considering the regular price is $109 per pair! All thanks to your blog :)"
