Big sporty gear sale
Eastern Mountain Sports has no stores within a thousand miles of Southern California, but their sale is still accessible because it is also on their Web site. Gear is up to 20% off now thru Oct. 21. If you spend $100, get a $25 gift card good in their store. I like this 3-season sleeping bag that keeps you toasty to 25-degrees for $87 (orig $109). Long size is a few bucks more. These Keen boatshoes also caught my eye (not like you have to be on a boat to wear them). They look super comfy, are made of stretchy neoprene, and are $20 (orig $35)! Ah, herein lies the rub: size 5 only, in green. Doh!
