Wordly booze

DrinkingWine.jpg Cost Plus World Market is having their "biggest ever" wine sale with bottles up to 25% off. Is this a counter-move to stop the flow of customers to BevMo's nickle wine sale? Me thinks so. Still, cheap booze is worth scoring. Think of all the upcoming holiday parties to which you will want to bring a bottle to please the host? Plus there is the loveliness of pouring yourself a glass after a stressful day at work. (Nothing builds a habit like a bad job, not that I would know.) The ad temps the thirsty with a $9 Da Vinci Chianti, a $6 Garnacha de Fuego (a spicy wine??), and a $5 Rex Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon. The sale seems to be specific to each store, so the Web site does not seem to list other specific sales unless you enter a zip code. Lame! But you can search here for their best picks, their featured wines and their Italian wines. Sale ends Oct 28, 2007.
