Free groceries Sat in Van Nuys

frontvannuys.jpgA new discount grocer is coming to town and they are not messing around. To make a splash the new Buck-A-Roo$ store in Van Nuys is giving away 1,000 bags of groceries to the first 1,000 customers who bring in a valid Buck-A-Roo$ flyer. Get a grand opening flyer by stopping by the store beforehand or by printing it here. If you go in for one the flyers are near the cash register but if you can't find one ask a someone who works there. Each bag will contain 7 or 8 items, a spokesperson tells me. A roll of paper towels, a box of cereal, gatorade, a canned good and a few other items.

The giveaway is Saturday Nov. 17 from noon to 4. There will also be free hot dogs, snacks, drinks, giveaways from Movin 93.9, a company spokesperson tells me. STRIKERS BONUS: Get an extra 10% off storewide when you present a valid Writers Guild of America card as long as the strike is still going.

Buck-A-Roo$ has such low prices because they sell closeouts purchased in bulk at wholesale prices. Read more about Buck-A-Roo$ here. Visit them at 17641 Vanowen St. in Van Nuys.
