Cheap Xmas trees
Reader Debra excitedly wrote in about the deal she got on a Christmas tree. "Got a 7-foot xmas tree at Green Arrow Nursery in Van Nuys (corner of Sherman Way and Van Nuys Blvd.) for $30. They even gave me $2 off since there was a coupon in the paper even though I didn't have it! Loaded it into the car wrapped in netting. Very nice people and a great bargain." I'll say. I paid $40 for a 6-foot tree at Ralph's and we had to pry the wooden cross stand off and tie it onto the car ourselves! I heard Target has the same deal ($40 self-service trees). Thanks, Debra!
