Lincoln Lunch: subs

| | Comments (0) |

Sub.gif The wet weather called for a hot, hearty lunch so I zipped over to Dan's Super Subs in Woodland Hills. The sandwich joint came highly recommended from a co-worker of my hubby and a packed parking lot and long line boded well. Almost as soon as I decided to order the hot roast beef sandwich with melted cheese (regular size is $4.83, also comes cold) a server walked up to me to take my order. She scribbled it down on a slip of paper, which I handed to the cashier nary a minute later. They are quick!

Sat down and within five minutes my sandwich was ready. Good thing because I was hungry and time crawls by when your belly is empty. The regular size was about an inch longer than the widest "V" I could make between my pinky and thumb (about a ninth on a piano), the jumbo is a foot long and costs $7.50. Great for splitting with a buddy! They have 28 sandwiches at these prices, plus a few special ones for a bit more. Each sammy comes with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, a pickle, and Italian sauce.

Visit them at 22446 Ventura Blvd, just west of Shoup on the south side of the street. (818) 225-8880. Parking is tight.

What the heck is a Lincoln Lunch, anyway?
