LADNPhoto.jpg Local retailers are feeling the pinch of the writer's strike. Who knew so many businesses relied on studios to send lavish gifts this time of year? Studios have in years past (during non-strike years) and everyone from booksellers to purveyors of home decor to jewelers are seeing orders fall off. I know because I wrote about it in a story that ran Wednesday on the front page of the Daily News. Read it here.
