Cool Web site! Rentometer.com will tell you if that monthly check you grudgingly send your landlord is higher or lower than similar apartments in your hood. Enter your address, the number of bedrooms, your rent, and how many apartments are in the building and it creates a map comparing your apartment with others nearby. A plus sign means they pay more than you, a minus sign means they pay less, an equal sign means they pay the same. Click on each sign to see how much your neighbors are paying.

The map it created for me did not list the other apartments in my building, however. The farthest apartment it listed was .63 miles away. Now I'm trying to remember the address for all my apartments going back to college! If I was getting a deal, gosh dang it I want to know about it.
