Trader Joe's not into China
Trader Joe's, one of my favorite discount grocery stores, will no longer sell single ingredient items from China like garlic and frozen organic garlic, according to a story from Business Week. April 1 is the cutoff date. The chain made the decision after customers complained they were worried about Chinese-made products. In recent months toothpaste, dog food and toys imported from China have been found to be contaminated or have high levels of lead.
Remember a new TJ's is opening Feb. 29 on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills. Thanks, Ryan!
