31-cent scoop at Baskin Robbins
Wednesday, April 30 is 31-cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins. It's a stunt to gain publicity for their $100,000 donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which, together with the ice creamery, is honoring 31 firefighters from across the nation who have shown an "exemplary commitment to community service."
The cheapo scoop is only from 5 to 10 pm on April 30 and it is for a 2.5 ounce scoop, which is about four gulps of water. But each person can buy 10 mini-scoops. The press release rightly points out that this is a great opportunity to try more than a tiny pink spoonful of wacky flavors. Find a Baskin Robbins near you. Thanks, Judi!

Dear Julia Scott:
Regarding your Baskin Robbins $.31 cents a 2.5 ounce scoop. You wrote $.31 cent a scoop this is incorrect. After $.01 cent it is cents not cent. Please correct this. This error in grammar is not excusable. Please proof read your copy.
Thank you,
CInfante
Julia,
Please ignore the rude rantings of Mr. or Ms. Infante, who could not even avoid a fragment when introducing the complaint, nor a run on when making it. Those who need to remove the beam from their own eye should do so before attempting to correct others.
I love your column; keep up the good work!
