Five-course Italian dinner $36
The northern Italian restaurant Cafe Carolina in Encino is offering a special five-course meal and lecture for $36 this Monday at 6:30 p.m. RSVP required. The meal includes antipasti, salad, fish, ravioli, chicken, and dessert. Portions are two to three ounces because there are so many courses. BYOB with no corkage fee. The dinner is part of the restaurant's food appreciation series. UCLA emeritus professor Henry Ansgar Kelly will talk about why Valentine's Day should be celebrated in May, not February, during the meal. The restaurant seats 29 and there are only a few spots left. RSVP at (818) 881-8600.
