Linens -n- Thing closing sale??
Keep your eyes peeled for big sales at Linens -n- Things. The home furnishings store, and a major rival of Bed, Bath & Beyond, may file for bankruptcy, according to a New York Times story.
Could this mean an end to the reams of 20% off coupons both stores send in the mail? BBB and LNT accept each others coupons and take ones that have already expired. But if LNT does not survive, BBB won't have to worry about competition and may change its coupon policies. So even if you think you have an endless supply of those 20% off coupons, keep saving them. They may come in handy down the line (unless BBB starts honoring the expiration date). Thanks, SCRS!

Are you sure it's their policy to take all those discount coupons? A few weeks ago I went to Linens and Things with a coupon that had expired the day before and they would not accept it.

Sol,
The last time I shopped at BBB they took a LNT coupon without checking the expiration date. I haven't shopped at LNT recently so many they have changed their policy. Thanks for the heads up. ~Julia

last time I went to either one, not only do they accept each others & expired coupons, but you can also use up to 6 coupons provided you are purchasing at least 6 items!!!! yes, 6 coupons!

This is interesting. I hadn't heard about Linens 'n Things being in so much financial trouble. It's never been my favorite home goods store, but I'd hate to see it close.
