Yozen Frogurt
Hubby loves Yozen Frogurt and he doesn't even like frozen yogurt! He swears it's a great spot for a healthy snack so I told him I would check it out. On my first visit I found the employees very friendly. The girl who was helping me offered extra samples (I had three total) but forgot to tell me about the club card. (Buy eight treats at their shop and get the ninth free.) The pomegranate flavor was perky and tart. I did not like cookies 'n cream but white cloud was even better than its counterpart at Pinkberry.
I settled on tried and true favorites - chocolate mint and vanilla with toffee bits - but later wished I had experimented with the kiwi strawberry, espresso rush, or caramel pecan. It tasted good, but it wasn't overly special and the small serving (8 oz) was too much to finish. I think funkier flavors would have made the difference.
Stopped in one more time because Hubby really couldn't believe I wasn't head over heels about Yozen Frogurt. This time I got three flavors in a smaller cup (junior size, 6 oz). The peanut butter gold was top notch, espresso rush was tasty and kiwi strawberry packed just the right punch. Opted for no toppings because they did not have fresh raspberries. The line was packed with kids and families, but it moved along okay. With my two for one coupon from the Clipper Magazine my friend and I had two treats (hers with two toppings) for $5.15. Not too shabby.
Yelpers give YF the thumbs up. Visit them at 6450 Platt Ave in the Platt Village strip mall in West Hills (818) 887-8511. Their new store is at 2416 East Thousand Oaks Blvd in Thousand Oaks. (805) 230-2401. Note, it can get busy.

You should see if there is a Golden Spoon around your area too... They are cheaper then Pink Berry, and in my personal opinion, much better tasting. There are two in Santa Clarita and after 7 p.m. they are both packed... BTW Steve and Barry's in Burbank is still doing the everything, minus a few things from "designers" lines, is $8.98. A store employee told me that the company decided to keep prices like that indefinitely.

Dear Bargain Hunter Babe,
Way to go for eating kiwi strawberry next to espressro rush and peanut butter! Rock on those funky flavors!
Love, your NYC sis (aka your #1 fan)

Does anyone know of a good frozen yogurt store in or near Burbank? Thanks for your help

Has anyone compared Golden Spoon to Yozen Frogurt? In my opinion Pinkberry doesn't taste good, too tart. I love Golden Spoon and have been to the one in Simi, Newbury Park, and several in Orange County. I want to go to the YF in Thousand Oaks next!
