Desperately seeking Lincoln Lunches

lincolnlunchcartoon.jpg Hi folks, If you have not noticed, there have been very few posts about Lincoln Lunches of late! I have pretty much exhausted all the places I know about so I am asking you to submit ideas for where I might find a tasty $5 lunch (called a Lincoln Lunch because it's a $5 meal and Lincoln is on the fiver). I'm hungry so help me out!

Here are my guidelines: No fast food chains like McDonald's because everybody already knows about them and no repeats of places I have already been to. (You can check by typing the restaurant name into the search box on the left.) I stick to the San Fernando Valley, which I roughly define as Thousand Oaks to Burbank and Glendale.

Please share your suggestions by leaving a comment on the blog (click on the tiny "comments" link underneath this post.) Your fellow Bargain Hunter readers will thank you! And I will too!!

POGO'S, Saticoy and Louise in Van Nuys. Great Server Linda. go mon-thurs to meet her. Great hamburgers, sandwiches and the best daily specials. !!All GOOD!! Lunch served afte 11am. On the weekends they serve the best breakfast !!

There are good deals on the web as well. My wife just had a baby and she hit this site (from which we have ordered several things) and they were inexpensive, and VERY nice.

We were pretty shocked by the low cost and the nice details.

Quiznos is a fast food chain, but they have been competing with subway's $5 subs and have their large subs for $5.

Sabroso, 19714 Vanowen, Canoga Park
It's at Vanowen and Corbin
I had one taco (shredded beef) and iced tea for $3.68. They have other spcials that should be under $5.00. The taco was excellent. It was served with free chips and salsa and free refills on the beverages.

Tom's Hamburger's

San Pedro and El Segundo
in Los Angeles

2 Large Tacos and a Large Drink $1.99- Anytime of the day or night!!!
