Guarantee your plants

SickPlant.jpgI wrote about this deal once before but because many folks head to the nursery to buy plants this time of year I thought I would share this reminder. Lowe's has a fantastic plant return policy.

"If your trees, shrubs or perennials don't survive a year, we'll replace them free of charge. Just bring in the plant and the receipt," says a recent email I received from Lowe's. (Scroll down and look on the left.)

Their prices are decent and the quality is so so. Look for healthy, bug-free plants or, if you can track down a nursery attendant, ask them which of the plants you are considering are most healthy.

Keep the receipts in one spot - say an envelope on your desk marked "Lowe's plants." Find a Lowe's near you.

Armstrong Nurseries has the same deal. I've seen people bring in dead plants and get replacements just like this.
