Museum free days
A reader was kind enough to share a long list of free days at dozens of museums and gardens across the region. A few of these you may recognize from last week's theme on free stuff to do around LA, but most of it is new. Thanks, Rein!
Arboretum of LA County: free admission on the third Tue of each month.
Autry National Center in LA: free admission on the second Tuesday each month.
California African American Museum: free admission daily.
California Science Center: free admission daily; some exhibits have a fee
Claremont Museum of Art: free admission on the first Friday of the month from 5 to 8:30 pm
Craft and Folk Art Museum: free on the first Wednesday of each month
Fowler Museum at UCLA: free admission daily
Getty Center and Getty Villa: free admission but parking costs $8
La Brea Tarpits Museum: free...
... admission on the first Tuesday of each month
Griffith Park Observatory: free admission daily.
Hammer Museum at UCLA: free admission every Thursday.
Huntington Library and Gardens: free admission on the first Thursday of each month (requires online reservation months in advance).
Japanese American National Museum in LA: free general admission every Thursday from 5 to 8pm and every third Thursday of the month. Look for occasional free family days.
LACMA: Free admission on the second Tuesday of each month and free after 5pm daily. Free admission is also offered on several holiday Mondays.
Long Beach Museum of Art: free admission each Friday
LA Fire Department Museum in Hollywood: free admission on the only day it is open - Saturdays from 10 to 4.
MOCA: free admission to all three MOCA locations each Thursday from 5 to 8pm.
Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton: free admission daily, Wednesday to Sunday.
Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach: free admission each Friday.
National History Museum in LA: free admission on the first Tuesday of each month.
The Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar: free admission daily.
Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena: free admission on the Friday of each month from 6 to 9pm.
Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena: free admission on the fourth Friday of each month.
The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills: free admission daily
Pasadena Museum of California Art: free admission on the first Friday of each month.
Raymond Alf Museum of Paleontology in Claremont: free admission each Wednesday.
Skirball Cultural Center: free admission each Thursday.

I'm a bit confused by this entry:
"Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena: free admission on the Friday of each month from 6 to 9pm."
Did you mean to specify a certain Friday? i.e. the first, second, third, fourth.
