Twice the speed at half the price

Iphone.jpgOh baby oh baby oh baby. The new 3G iPhone is $200. That's a lot of money, but not compared to how much the original gadget cost - $600. It comes out July 11 and I'm guessing plenty of folks will line up to buy it for themselves, unlike last time when half the people in line were going to sell theirs on eBay. (If you don't mind an older iPhone, this may be a great time for a bargain!)

Not that I'm getting the new iPhone, even though my cell phone plan expires next month. I usually opt for a freebie phone that comes with signing my life away for two years. And right now I'm saving for a bicycle. Hubby, on the other hand....

The only problem with the iPhone for cheapskates like myself is the minimum monthly charge from AT&T of $60.

They're smart, those cell-phone people. You think you get a deal on the phone, and they get, in this case, $720 out of you per year, plus whatever sneaky fees they tack on to that.

If somebody's getting $60 a month out of me, the name on the bill better be something like "Trader Joe's" ...

hahaha Steven u are TOTALLY RIGHT!!!
i thought about buying the iphone until i realized their plans are waaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive than the verizon i have w/ my hubby. w/ verizon's fam plan, we always pay less than $100...but w/ the new AT&T fam plan, we're going to have to shell out A LOT MORE...
i think i'll stick w/ my palm and hubby's blackberry for now...
