Back to civilization
Well I didn't quite miss blogging as much as I thought I would during my family reunion in the wild, wild, woods up north but that's probably because I was busy playing Indian poker, organizing a water balloon fight, chasing waves, poking a beached whale (long dead), watching the campfire, singing songs, playing canasta, making a tie-dye shirt, catching frogs with my bare hands, beating my cousin and Hubby at beer pong, teasing my Uncle, and eating candy.
The only one who cried when it was time to go was Anna, the 4-year-old daughter of my cousin Stephen, after she tried unsuccessfully to sneak back into the main cabin and stow away for a few more days of fun. But I suspect many others wished they could have turned back the clock a few days and done it all again.
My 6-year old nephew, pictured above trying to give his cousin a wet willy, summed it up best when he asked his Mom when the next family reunion was. Before she could answer he said, "I hope it's next month." Me, too.
