Monday column has moved to Tuesday
If you are looking for the Bargain Hunter column, it has moved to Tuesdays at the top of Classifieds, the D section. I would have preferred moving to Friday or Sunday, but the move is still a really good thing.
The new column will be on a section front instead of buried inside the news section on A18? A24? Come Tuesday no digging is required to find the deals!
Just flip through the sections until you see a snazzy new picture of me (it's about as glamorous as I get) and the "bargain hunter" banner.
The new column is longer so there is space for more deals and pictures to highlight my fun finds. I think it looks very snazzy and I hope you agree.

So, Dean Singelton and Carolina Garcia are reading the comments from the blog and went ahead and actually gave you your OWN section!
This is too funny and shows the sad state affairs of the print newspaper business, but very very good for you professionally.
The Daily News has become so skinny some days that by giving you your own section wrapped around the classifieds, you get much better exposure than buried inside a section.
Hopefully, readers wont overlook this fact, especially if they are not inclined to read the classifieds.
Wow. The Bargain Hunter has it's own section, just like Sports and what was Business. Who would have thought.
Thanks to Dean and Carolina
Also, I would like to see coverage by you of Tesco's new and first San Fernando Valley Fresh & Easy store at Vanowen and Sepulveda, 15230 Vanowen Street to be exact, next to Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
The store will open Wednesday, August 6th, 2008. By now you should have already received your private preview invitation.
It will be interesting to read your initial opinions as to what you liked and what you didn't like. What could be fine tuned and what may be just fine as is.
You will probably not see this for grand opening, but because Tesco's products usually have very short shelf life dates, many of the products can be had for 50% off the selling price as they near their sell by date.
The 50% discount is not limited to any specific product, rather it's all products that need to be sold before their sell by dates. Usually, the 50% discount appears two days before the sell by date.
I'm not sure how long this will continue, but Tesco offers a $5.00 discount on any order over $20.00. Depending on your address, coupons/flyers are mailed to you, or if you are out of the distribution zone. just ask for a coupon at the register.
I'm looking forward to seeing your new column location!
Re: "a snazzy new picture of me"
When will we see this on the blog? I miss having your picture at the top. The pile of Washingtons isn't the same.

The new picture is up! Check it out on the left side of the blog or look in today's Classified section. ~Julia
