Maggiano's $20 card free with purchase
Get a free $20 gift card at Maggiano's when you buy a $100 gift card. It's unclear how long this promotion lasts, but I'm guessing through the holidays.
If you haven't eaten at Maggiano's, the food is very good and the drinks are strong. Portions are big enough that one couple splitting an appetizer and entree have to get a doggie bag.
Right now the semi-upscale family style Italian restaurant is offering a 3-course meal with a glass of Santa Cristina wine for $30 when you order a Little Italy Favorites entree, including lobster fettuccine, beef braciole, chicken francese or baked ziti. To get the deal you have to pay with any American Express Card.
I wonder if later you can split up the $100 card onto multiple cards for smaller gifts. Find a Maggiano's near you. They have restaurants in 21 states.

The family-style lunches and dinners at Maggiano's are amazing. For example, you choose TWO, each, appetizers, salads, pastas, entrees, vegetables (these are extra) and desserts for a reasonable charge. Unfortunately, I can't remember what that is. We're Sunday champagne brunch people, and I haven't been there since last March. Not only are the portions large but, also, you can request seconds of anything you've ordered at no additional charge! It works the same way for lunch. And the food is delicious. I've only gone to the Maggiano's in Woodland Hills so can't speak for other locations. Also, the last time I was there was for lunch. For the first time, I ordered a salad only (rather than the family lunch). Again, the portion was substantial. They have many selections from which to choose, and the price was comparable to salads served at other places in the area. Add a nicer dining environment, and it's a good deal overall. It's also been my work's favorite place to go for lunch during the holidays. (Maggiano's should pay me for this endorsement! But it's all true.)

The "America Express 3-course Prix Fixe" promo ends 11/26/08.
The "$20 gift card when you buy $100 in gift cards" runs through the holidays and ends 12/31/08. And you are able to purchase cards in various increments ($25, $50 or $100) to hit the $100 mark.
