Price alerts for products you want

| | Comments (0) |

RCWalle.jpgThe Web site DealAlerter.com takes comparison shopping to the next level by letting you set "price alerts" for items you are interested in purchasing. When the price drops below your limit, the site emails you.

This site is especially handy during the holiday season when retailers have steep price drops for short periods of time.

Start by searching for an item you want to buy, like a Remote Control Wall-e (a cool toy my nephew wants). When your item comes up, click on "Set Price Alert" in the upper right corner. Then register your email and create a username so the site can email you when the price drops. The site saves your price alerts on one page so you can log in later and change the settings.

Still not sure how to set a price alert? Browse a quick demo here.

Deal Alerter is run by Consumer World. The site gets its price information through a partnership with PriceGrabber.com. Read more about how Deal Alerter works here.
