Bargain Hunter saves moolah off double rebates
One shopping deal in particular caught my eye last week. So after I turned in my story for the LA Daily News about the kickoff to holiday shopping Friday, I went home and turned on the computer.
My destination was eBates.com, a site where members get automatic rebates when you make purchases by going through their Web site before shopping at hundreds of retailers online. On Black Friday, all of their rebates were doubled, which meant 7% back at Target.com, 5% back at Wine.com, and 47% back at Magazines.com, among others.
On my list was a few gifts for Hubby, a case of wine to split with my neighbor (some of which I'll use for holiday presents), and a magazine subscription that was up for renewal.
I combined the doubled rebates, which eBates will mail as a check to me in about three months, with free shipping codes at Target and Wine.com. Making the purchases through eBates on a double rebate day saved me $23.80, plus $27 in free shipping. Not too shabby!
You should consider joining eBates (it is free) if you are not already a member. Click here to sign up. Find more about how the site works here.

I use this website ALL THE TIME and have literally gotten hundreds of dollars in rebates. It's awesome and I highly recommend it. Plus, it's really, really rare to find a retailer that's not on their list of rebates.
