Thus assumes that your were not one of the three this week (and I assume you were not one of the four last month) to have received the tap on the shoulder.
Now that no reporter is assigned to the Antleope and Santa Clarita Valleys, I think you should cover the Santa Clarita Valley in addition to the Bargain Hunter blog and your very own section on Tuesday!
Frankly, the AV is too far away, and they have a good local paper up there via the Antelope Valley Press.
The Daily News not covering the AV will be no big deal to the Daily News in terms of circulation loss, plus your Bargain Hunter column did not really offer much to readers in the way of local deals in the AV (I'm not suggesting you were supposed to cover the AV, Dean strecthes you pretty thin now as your columns appear in other LANG papers). It's hard enough to get you to come to Santa Clarita. LOL
You could even work out of Dean's printing facility here in Valencia and give the mighty Signal a run for their money...lol
If you haven't received the tap on the shoulder by next Friday before your "live" chat, I think you should include hubby...he seems pretty funny and could add bargain hunting insite! I know, you and hubby should have a weekly Bargain Hunter segment on one of the City of Los Angeles PEG channels through Time Warner. It's free to you and oftem times, Time Warner will show the goofy programs from the L.A. PEG channels in other local cities. Here in Santa Clarita, we see some of the L.A. PEG programming on our local government/education channels....oops another Bargain Hunter tip for another column...your very own free tv show that you shoot, edit, produce and host!
Anybody notice that the $1.00 Double Cheeseburgers at McDonalds are now $1.19? Carls Jr. rasied the price of their Big Burger from .99c to $1.29...a whopping 30 percent increase!
