Want a pint of Pliny the Younger? Try your luck at Beachwood BBQ

We’ve had Russian River Brewing Company’s Pliny the Elder, but have only dreamt of tasting the brewery’s famed Pliny the Younger, which has just been released at the brewery and will be making its way to Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach and Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach.

However, you can’t just walk in and order a pint of the famed triple IPA.

Oh, no…you have to be lucky!

Beachwood is raffling off chances for a pint of Pliny the Younger in its third annual “Pliny Fights Cancer Charity Raffle.”

Here’s how it works: Head to either Beachwood location (131½ Main St., Seal Beach or 210 E. Third St., Long Beach) before 10 p.m. Saturday, February 22, and purchase your raffle tickets at $5 each. There’s no limit to the number of tickets you can buy, but ticket sales are cash only.

Then, cross your fingers, because on Monday, February 24, Beachwood will draw 130 winning tickets. Winners will be notified of which Beachwood location to go to get their pint of Pliny the Younger.

Winning tickets must be redeemed between February 25 and March 6.

The best part of all this? Well, besides the fact that you might be able to enjoy a pint of Pliny the Younger…the best part is that all proceeds from the raffle benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation.

Last year, Beachwood raised $9,000 for the organization and are aiming for $10,000 this year.

What does that mean to you? Your chances of winning are about 1 in 15.

However, your chance of supporting cancer research is 100%.
