You might want to pencil this in on your calendar: The Tehachapi Mountain Brew and Grill Fest.

The event is a combination beer (The Central California Craft Beer Competition) and barbecue competition.

Attendees will be able to sample both beer and barbecue.

General admission tickets are $45 (plus $2.12 service fee) and include 10 beer tastings, plus barbecue tastings and dinner from one of the restaurant vendors at the event. A limited number (100) of V.I.P. tickets are available, which include admission to a tented area with wine, beer and full catering. V.I.P. tickets are $100 (plus $3.49 service fee).

Shuttle passes to select Tehachapi hotels (Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, Fairfield Inn and Suites, Best Western Mountain Inn, Best Western Country Park Hotel and La Quinta Inn) to are also available for $10 (plus $1.24 service fee).

The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at Benz Visco Youth Sports and Cultural Park,
20537 Tehachapi Willow Springs Road.
