It seems like Hangar 24 Craft Brewery’s anniversary celebrations have grown exponentially each year.
Last year, the celebration morphed into an air show and took over the adjacent Redlands Municipal Airport.
This year, the event will span two days.
The Hangar 24 AirFest and sixth anniversary celebration will take place Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, at Redlands Municipal Airport.
The other big change this year involves parking. There will no longer be shuttles from outlying areas. All parking will be done on-site, and a $5 fee per day fee will be charged. There is a limited number of parking spaces available, and when all the parking passes have been sold, the event itself will be sold out.
In other words, if you want to go, get your tickets (and your parking pass) as soon as possible.
As last year, a limited number of V.I.P. passes are available. The $200 V.I.P. passes are good for both days and include parking for both days. The passes also include free food from a selected vendor, unlimited beverage service (including beer), and a special seating area with a clear view of the flight line and main stage.
For the rest of us, general admission is $10 per day, $5 for kids six to 12 and free for kids younger than six. Tickets are available for both days, or each day separately.
Again, if you plan on driving to the event, parking passes must be purchased at $5 per day or $10 if you are attending both days. However, leave the RV at home. No overnight parking is allowed.

Hangar 24 will be releasing its sixth anniversary ale, and will be pouring over 30 different beers during the festival.
As in past years, there will be a special release beer tent where a different archive or special release beer will be available every 20 minutes.
In addition, the brewery’s tasting room, 1710 Sessums Drive, Redlands, will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. both days of the event. A limited number of 22-ounce bottles of the brewery’s anniversary ale (which will be on draft at the festival) will be available at the tasting room.
The entertainment on Friday night will focus mostly on country, with J.T. Hodges headlining, while Saturday’s focus will be on rock. Everclear will headline Saturday night. Click here for the full lineup.

Food will be available from 40 different vendors, most of whom have served at the brewery’s tasting room. Among them: The Bacon MANia, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Cousins Maine Lobster, The Viking Truck, The Lobos Truck, Me So Hungry, Where’s the Fire Gourmet Pizza, Tornado Potato and Slummin’ Gourmet food trucks. Plus, local favorites à la minute, Augie’s Coffee Roasters, Brewcakes, The Big Easy Sandwich, Leno’s Rico Taco, Saverino’s, Haybirds Hotdogs, Mill Creek Cattle Co., 4Tino’s, Hillbilly Tacos, Street Tacos, Suite 106 Cupcakery and Wild and Twisted Foods.
Doors open at 4 p.m., with last call at 9 p.m., on Friday. On Saturday, doors open at 9 a.m., with last call at 9 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Hangar 24 Charities, which aims to preserve and protect Southern California’s citrus heritage.
