No shortage of beer events in the Inland Empire today

No less than four beer events are taking place across the Inland Empire this busy Saturday (March 28).

In Redlands, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery is releasing this year’s Hammerhead ($20 per 750 mL bottle), its rye-whiskey-and-bourbon-barrel-aged barleywine. However, this year, there are some exciting twists. A couple hundred bottles of Augie’s Coffee Hammerhead ($25 per 750 mL bottle, limit one) and Bourbon Chai Hammerhead ($25 per 750 mL bottle, limit one) will be available for sale, and likely to be gone in the first hour of sales.

All three will be available on tap, along with an Old Fashioned Hammerhead, on Randall with cherries and orange peel.

Bottle sales begin at 10 a.m., and Augie’s will serve coffee as sales begin. Taps begin flowing at 11 a.m., and food will be available from Bacon Mania from noon to 8 p.m.

Later in the day, a pair of bands will perform. Details can be found here and here. Hangar 24 is at 1710 Sessums Drive.

In nearby Highland, the Belle, 6917 Palm Ave., is hosting a craft beer garden during the Citrus Harvest Festival.

Several local breweries will be featured, including Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Ritual Brewing Co., Wild Donkey Brewing Co. and Inland Empire Brewing Company.

There is no charge to enter the beer garden, but you must be 21 or older. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pomona’s Sanctum Brewing Co. is celebrating its 1 & 1/6 anniversary in two sessions: noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.

Attendees can have 10 5-ounce pours of any of the available beers, which will include many limited release brews, most of which will only be available during the event. The celebration will also feature food vendors and live entertainment.

Tickets are $35 at the door. Sanctum Brewing is at 560 E. Commercial St., Unit 21, in the Pomona Packing Plant.

The Riverside Air Show takes flight on Saturday, which means it’s also Packinghouse Brewing Company’s Brew With A View.

You see, the brewery, 6421 Central Ave., Suite 101-A, is directly across the street from Riverside Airport where the air show takes place.

Attendees can watch the air show while sipping their favorite Packinghouse brew in the brewery’s beer garden. The free family-friendly event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food will be available from gourmet food trucks. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Moreno Valley Noon Rotary.
