Hangar 24 rolling out two new sours today

Hangar 24 soursAny sour beer fans out there?

If so, you might want to make tracks for Hangar 24 Craft Brewery today (June 27) as the brewery is rolling out two new sour beers: First Crush and Sanguinello.

First Crush is a sour red ale aged in red wine barrels with Syrah grape juice. It’ll be available in 750 mL bottles for $20. 2,300 bottles are available. The brewery will also (while supplies last) be offering eight-ounce pours for $8 and three-ounce pours for $3.

If white wine is more your thing, Sanguinello is a sour blonde aged in white wine barrels with blood orange juice. Available in a much more limited quantity, 1,200 300 mL bottles of Sanguinello are available for $15 a pop. Again, while supplies last, the brewery will offer pours: $15 for an 11-ounce pour and $5 for a three-ounce pour.

Barrel Roll Club members will receive one of each of the beers in their latest box, which will be available starting today.

Today’s not all about the new sours, though. The brewery will also be hosting an award ceremony for its homebrew contest winners.

The festivities kick off at 9 a.m. with bottle sales and Barrel Roll Club member box pickups. At 11 a.m., the tasting room opens and pours of First Crush and Sanguinello will be available while supplies last. The Sedans will perform from 2 to 5 p.m., when the homebrew contest winners will be announced. Quetzal Guerrero will perform from 7 to 10 p.m.

The brewery is also promising “extra treats and beer pours,” so be sure to check the Facebook event page for updates…or just hang out in the brewery all day.

Hangar 24 is at 1710 Sessums Drive in Redlands, as if you didn’t know that.
