While Oktoberfest in Germany concluded this past weekend, the festivities are still going strong here in Southern California.

In fact, there are at least five Oktoberfest events this weekend in the Inland Empire. Let’s start with the granddaddy: Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest.

The community has been celebrating Oktoberfest since 1971, making it one of Southern California’s oldest such festivals. (Alpine Village in Torrance has been home to an Oktoberfest event only a few years longer — since 1968.)

Big Bear Lake’s event continues Saturdays and Sundays through October 31 at the Convention Center at Big Bear Lake, 42900 Big Bear Blvd.

In addition, a special “Unpluggged” weekend begins Friday, October 16, with a five-course German pairing dinner.

Adult admission starts at $7 for Sunday and $18 for Saturday, which includes Sunday admission as well.

Just across the mountain, Lake Arrowhead Village’s Oktoberfest continues Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 25. The free event takes place at the village, 28200 State Highway 189.

Note that the event may be canceled due to inclement weather, as it was last Sunday.

Hangar 24 Craft Brewery’s Oktoberfest celebrations seem to grow bigger each time. This year’s event will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday (October 10) at San Manuel Stadium, 280 S. E St., San Bernardino.

Hangar 24’s Oktoberfest incorporates a beerfest — with the anticipated participation of more than two dozen breweries and cideries from across the state and beyond — that will run until 7 p.m.

Inland Empire breweries scheduled to take part include Colton’s 3 Iron Brewing Co., Rancho Cucamonga’s Hamilton Family Brewery and No Clue Craft Brewery, Redlands’ Escape Craft Brewery, Ritual Brewing Co. and Wild Donkey Brewing Co., Temecula’s Black Market Brewing Co. and Wiens Brewing Company, Palm Desert’s La Quinta Brewing Co. and Thousand Palms’ Coachella Valley Brewing Company.

Food will be available from several vendors, including Jojo’s Grill-A-Dog, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Pappas Artisanal and Mill Creek Cattle Co.

Tickets are $40 for the brewfest, which includes Oktoberfest admission, plus a commemorative tasting cup and unlimited pours. Designated driver tickets are $10 and include Oktoberfest admission. Kids 6 and younger get in free.

Tickets are available at the Hangar 24 tasting room, 1710 Sessums Drive, Redlands, and via Ticketmaster.

Proceeds will benefit Hangar 24 Charities.

On the other side of San Bernardino County, Upland’s Dale Bros. Brewery will hosting its annual Oktober Fiesta in two sessions on Saturday (October 10).

Session one will run from noon to 4 p.m. and session two will run from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets for each session ($10) include entry, an Oktober Fiesta beer stein and one pour of beer. Advance tickets are available here.

Food will be available from MESquite BBQ, MexiCalbi and Scoops on Tap.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Upland Community Partnership for Youth Development.

Pomona Fairplex’s Oktoberfest continues Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 24. Admission is $5 for this 21-and-older event.

Attendees can also purchase a commemorative stein for $20, which includes the first fill, but does not include admission..
