During a recent visit to Souplantation, I found out that the restaurant no longer accepts AAA cards for a 10% off your meal! BOO.
A few days later, I got this coupon in my e-mail Inbox. It expires at the end of this month. That’s next Monday, March 31, 2008.
Bizarro! “Protein not included?” Not that Souplantation has that much “protein” on the buffet anyway! The soups have starchy filler to make them thick — don’t have to worry about protein there. What will they do — figure the unit cost of each egg and each ounce of cheese and bill it at full price, then give the discount on the leaves and the starch? ……. and HOW MUCH real money is a 15% discount at this place? Not a heck of a lot. Eat at home. The food’s better, the protein more plentiful and cheaper.
I think the “protein” is the little cups of chicken you can buy to go on your salad for an extra buck or so. Their dinners are now more than $9, so 15% off is worth getting, if you want to eat there.
They’ve got coupons showing up in the Sunday edition of certain San Gabriel Valley newspapers (LOL!) every two or thee weeks. Even without the AAA discount, you shouldn’t have to pay full price at Souplantation. You do subscribe to one of these newspapers don’t you?
Why do you advertise coupons for Soup Plantation which expire in 3/08??? We’re 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
