Shout outs
There is a section of tommorrow's story where I mention some of the folks who've helped contribute to Birmingham's success this year. That list is only the beginning. There is never enough room to mention everyone. There are a number of other people who I've gotten to know this season who are equally important to the program. I've tried to mention them over the course of the year, but there are always people you forget.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention assistant coaches Vincent Johnson, Jaime Glass, Floyd Peterson, Matt Pentecost and Jim and Mike Thornton, who flew all the way from Texas for the City title game last Friday.
A special thanks to some of the great parents I've gotten to know this year: Donovan Carter Sr. Milton Knox Sr., Cecilia Knox, Lupe Lopez, Gena Sexton, Ralph Rosas, Cece and Albert Johnson, Jodie Jackson, Claudia Garrett, Tammye Burgess, Robin Jackson, Tasha Floyd, Laura and Tom Bartlett, Sam Laolagi and Blanca Escobar.
There are countless other support staffers who are always around, looking for a way to help. Carol Silver does the team programs, Dr. Bornstein and Dr. Paul, who keep the team well, film-making teacher Kevin Kelly, college counselor Laura Mitchell, the Birmingham Father's Club, and of course, the Sideline Shooter.
Last but not least, I'd like to thank coach Croson, his staff, and the players on the team. Thanks for allowing me on your sideline, in your huddles and your locker room. What a ride.

I just want to say thanks for everything you have written about our son's this season. Like them I feel kind of loss without our Friday nights. I had always plan my Friday nights on watching the game, just like the other parents we are also disappointed for our kids for not getting to go to the Bowl game. I was there Sunday afternoon when the team heard on the t.v that we didn't get pick to go to the Bowl game and I could feel the pain that our boys felt. But like I always say to some of them, "Things happen for a reason and this is not the end of the road for any of them. Some may not play college ball but I do know in my heart that every person in this team will be doing something that could be bigger than this so called State Bowl. No matter what happens I think that every parent in this program will be proud to say our boys will always be a winner no matter what anyone say." Everybody that supported our program believes that this is the best football program in the valley not because we have the funds to spend like other schools but because we got the coaches that have the best interest of our kids not just in the field but also in their classroom. I like for a fact that Coach Crosen has an open door type of policy with the players. You can always come in his office to talk about anything that is in your mind and I don't know any coaches who would do that for his player. He doesn't just talk about football to them but he teaches them how to be a better person so when they graduate every each one of them could be a good and respectful individual. I think the shout outs should go to every player of these team since they're the one who did all the hardwork for the whole entire season. To everyone thanks for all the support that you all have shown to my son, Exavier. We might have lost some friends along the way but we very much appreciate the new family that we gained from this school.
